What Hunch is (and isn’t)

Hunch is a decision aid, not a guarantee. It helps you spot likely scams; it does not and cannot catch every scam, and a “looks clean” result is not a promise a message is safe. Silence is not a guarantee — verify unexpected requests independently. The Hunch browser extension is free.

No warranty

The checker and content are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Hunch is not liable for losses arising from reliance on its output.

Not professional advice

Hunch’s verdicts are automated risk signals — not professional, legal, or financial advice. Treat them as one input, and verify anything important independently before you act.

Brands and examples

Company and brand names appear only to describe scams that impersonate them. Hunch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any brand mentioned. Example messages are illustrative.

Acceptable use

Don’t use the site to build or refine scams, to attack the service, or for anything unlawful. Please don’t paste other people’s private data into the checker. Contact: support@askhunch.app.
