An informational second look
Hunch gives an informational second look at a message. It is not legal, financial or security advice, and it can miss things. Before you act on a request involving money, codes or personal details, check it with the organization or official body directly, through a channel you choose.
What Hunch is (and isn't)
Hunch is a decision aid, not a guarantee. It helps you spot likely scams; it does not and cannot catch every scam, and a "looks clean" result is not a guarantee a message is fine. Silence is not a guarantee, verify unexpected requests independently. The Hunch browser extension is free.
No warranty
The checker and content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Hunch is not liable for losses arising from reliance on its output.
Not professional advice
Hunch's verdicts are automated risk signals, not professional, legal, or financial advice. Treat them as one input, and verify anything important independently before you act.
Brands and examples
Company and brand names appear only to describe scams that impersonate them. Hunch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any brand mentioned. Example messages are illustrative.
Acceptable use
